The Room
The Conference or Board room is a very important room and needs to look professional. Besides your reception area, the Conference room is the most important room in your business and should make a lasting impression on your Employees and Customers. There are many different things that can be done in a conference room, and many different opinions about what is important. But in general, there are a few things that most people agree on. The room should be clean, painted in neutral colors and well lit. You really want it to portray your company philosophy. For example in a Law office, you will likely see a very heavy, well made table, big, plush comfortable chairs and neutral colors. But in a graphic design company, you might see a glass table, smaller, different colored chairs and bright graphics on the walls. Obviously these two examples would give a customer much different impressions about the business and the that's good because all businesses are different! The Electronics The electronics in your Conference room can also present an image (pun intended). Imagine a Conference room with a flat screen TV mounted on the wall with all of the wiring hidden from view and in-ceiling speakers. Now imagine one with a metal TV stand with an old tube type TV, small computer speakers and wires hanging down the back. These two examples say two very different things about your business.
